My name is Susan, and I'm a photographer born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, now based in Jersey City.

For me, photography is an exercise in mindfulness. Time stands still, and it’s just me, the scene, and my camera.

In my work, the untamed grandeur of Scotland—my homeland—is my muse. The landscape’s brooding allure captivates me every time I return, and I find a certain gloomy beauty in it all.

Using intentional camera movement and long exposure times, I aim to capture nature's raw beauty. I take hundreds of images to find the perfect dance between light, movement, and time that results in an unrepeatable work of art. Each photograph is unique by its nature and impossible to recreate.
